  • What Kids Are Saying

Hi I am a kid at Columbia middle school and you came and presented your "story" to us a few days ago and I wanted to thank you for coming and also wanted to wish you a happy birthday!!

I think it is so awesome how someone like you can have a dream and follow it, I am interested in theater and go on professional auditions thro/ a manager and hearing your presentation made me feel, like it could happen. Anything can happen!

I was really inspired by your presentation and also I thought it was awesome that you worked w/ lady gaga -- know lady gaga. Also I think it is cool that you work in so many different parts of the arts!! I love writing also and I feel like that is my strong point in school!

    Thanks!!!
    Happy Birthday!!!
    Alec

PS:I will definitely read your graphic novel Band of Innocence and give you feedback!!! Thanks!!!

    Dear Mr. Robert Agnello,

Thank you Mr. Agnello for coy ming to Dyker Heights and telling us about your career. It was very good. I like how you wrote your book. in the future, I would like to write a book also. You inspired me. I would like to know how did you feel when you got your Emmy award? I was surprised when you said that you went to Dyker 45 years ago. Then you told us that you went to New Utrecht High School That's the school I might go to. I want to be successful like you.

    Sincerly,

    Dear Robert (aka...author extraordinaire),

Thank you so so so so so (times 3 million) much for Band of Innocence. I read it and thought that it was AMAZING! I gobbled it up in one hour (yes, I kept track...I wanted to be able to say how long it took me to read it to show how interesting it was). I really like the moral of the story. It just makes me want to be a better person, and start my life over as a child (as in three years old child) and be more "pure" if you will.

Also, I thought that maybe, as a promotional product, there could be the Amulet that Emily wore and the Sword of Truth that she had in the Amulet. I would definitely buy the Amulet, and I'm sure Ryan would buy the Sword of Truth. Thanks SOOOOO much again for Band of Innocence and I totally look forward to reading the next adventure and seeing more BOI in the future! My dearest mother thinks this could be a Saturday morning show.

    Good luck and best wishes!
    Your #1 fan,

Hi, this is Ryan and I just wanted to say how much I liked the book. It is one of
my favorites. I would be very surprised if it isn't published because it kept me reading and it was an action packed comic which was very thrilling to me. The idea of making a movie sounds fantastic and I would camp out for a week to be first to see it. The Band of Innocence is bound to be a classic... action thing with a lot of good and bad guys, you know, kinda like superman. I forget his name but I like the flaming rock guy. In conclusion I really like this book and the format and I thank you for letting me be one of the first to read it and I definitely approve of this book. I hope it gets published.

    Dear Mr. Agnello,
I thought Band of Innocence was really creative. I really liked the girl, Paka, who could turn into any animal. I was wondering if she could turn into a sabretooth tiger. I felt really good after reading the book and I learned that it's not nice to be greedy. My favorite part was when the animals were holding the guns. I would like to see the Band of Innocence defeating robots and cyborgs in the next book.
