HEY
Did you ever feel that there were things you couldn't do. Things you thought
were out of reach. I grew up always wanting to be a musician. In 1996 I won
an Emmy for my work on Carmen Sandiego a TV show. I've played my bass guitar
in front of 100,000 people and have toured the world. I've written music for
countless TV shows.
Two years ago I wanted to write a book about hope, compassion and
dreams. Hopefully you have just read The Band of Innocence, my book.
There will be more books to follow. Anything you want is yours if
you believe. Look at Barack Obama. Whether you like him or not, his
dream came true. Against all odds. Your dreams can also come true.
Did You Hear?
I just found the only radio station in the world that's owned, operated
and run by kids.WKID 96.7 FM is on the air and broadcasting from
St. Petersburg, Florida. The kids are between the age of 8 and
16. They have interviewed Criss Angel and they do news, sports
and music. They broadcast between 5 and 10 PM on the weekdays and
on weekends from noon to 10 PM. I am always scared to talk in front
of people but man, I think I can do radio. I can do anything I
want and no one ever has to see my face. And the best thing is

Ok so this is my favorite joke but no one else laughs. Tell
me yours.
A baby polar comes home and asks his father, "Dad am I a polar bear?" His
Dad looks at him and says, "Why son of course you're a polar bear now go
kiss your Mom and do your homework." The little polar bear goes in to kiss
his Mom and asks, "Mom am I a polar bear?" His mother looks at him
and smiles, "Of course you're a polar bear. Now have your snack and do your
homework." This goes on for two months. Everyday the same thing.
Finally the little polar comes home and says, "Dad am I really a polar bear." The
father bear stands up and yells at the poor little polar bear. "I
can't take this anymore. Everyday you come home and ask if you're a
polar bear. You are driving your Mother and I crazy. This has got to
stop. Why are you asking if your a polar bear.
The little polar bear looks at his Dad and says, "Cause I'm freezing."
Stuff Your Face
With Santiago’s Favorite Recipe
KALE CHIPS
INGREDIENTS:
- Bunch of kale
- Olive oil
- Sprinkle of Sea salt
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut kale into small pieces, stems removed.
- Wash kale and dry very well.
- Place cut up kale in a bowl.
- Drizzle with olive oil and rub olive oil on each leaf until leaf
is coated and a little shiny.**
- Place in a single layer on baking sheet and sprinkle with sea
salt. Bake at 250 degrees until crispy (about 12 minutes).
**This is the major trick. Not too much and not too little.
You will need to experiment to get this the way you like it.
Once you do, they come perfect every time.
Ya Wanna Piece of Me?
OK so here's the monthly challenge. This seems
easy but every time I ask someone, weather adult or kid, they give
me a blank stare. Try to come up with the number one thing you would
like to be. Not when you grow up because some of us don't, but what
you want your life to be like. If you want to be a one eye giant
then that's what you want to be. If you want to be a secret agent
or a movie star then again that's what you want to be. Let me know
and we'll do a top ten list. You have a month to narrow it down.
Take your time because what you put out there is what you will receive.
